Has anyone been white water rafting in Brazil?

I'm thinking of doing some in Brazil in a few weeks. Was it worth while and how much did it cost? How far were these spots from Rio?

Would love to hear your experiences.

Hi, There are some spots in Rio de Janeiro state, but I must say that the besttest place to rafting and a lot of radical sports and ecoadventure is in a city called Brotas, in São Paulo state. Must be around 1000 miles distance from Rio. And also in the Iguaçú Falls in Paraná state. This are the bettest places, but the others are also great ones, sure you wiill love it!

Obs: "Rio" or "Riberião" means "River"

Rio Paraibuna in São Luiz do Paraitinga
Rio do Peixe in Socorro
Rio Jacaré-Pepira in Brotas
Many others river in Brotas
Rio Pardo in Caconde

Rio de Janeiro state:
Rio Macaé in Casimiro de Abreu e Macaé
Rio Paraibuna in north os the state
Ribeirão das Lajes in Seropédica

Rio Jucu in Domingos Martins

Santa Catarina state:
Rio Cubatão in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz
Rio Itajai-açu in ApÃ*una e Ibirama

Bahia state:
Rio de Contas in Itacaré

Rio Grande do Sul state:
Rio Paranhana in Três Coroas

Paraná state:
Rio Iapó in Tibagi
Rio Cachoeiras in Antoninas
